What is a group of hogs called?

A group of hogs is commonly referred to as a sounder. A sounder typically consists of several sows (female hogs) and their offspring, known as piglets. Male hogs, or boars, may also join a sounder, but they usually stay on the outskirts of the group and only approach when mating. Sounders have a social hierarchy, with each member having a distinct rank within the group. Communication within the sounder is primarily through grunts and squeals. Hogs are known for being social animals and often form strong bonds with their group members.
